Breaking the Curse of the Lycan Prince

"Will you reject me?" I whispered, suppressing the lump that had lodged itself in my throat. Desperation welled in my eyes, yet I fought back the tears threatening to spill.

His emerald eyes resembled icy orbs, penetrating my very soul. They held a frosty veneer, concealing numerous enigmatic secrets within.

"Reject you? I'm cursed. You won't survive as my mate. I urge you to end your life yourself before I'm forced to," he murmured softly before briskly walking away.

Hattie, the alpha's daughter, had once been destined to inherit the pack's leadership as the first female Alpha when her parents failed to bear another child. However, her life took a dark turn. She became an outcast, labeled a demon by her father and the entire pack after committing a grievous crime during her supposed first shift.

Hattie had held onto the belief that encountering her mate would bring an end to her suffering. But when she finally met her fated mate, the cursed Lycan prince, who regarded her with contempt, irritation, and hatred, her last glimmer of hope dwindled.

She was thrust into his arms as if offered as prey, a death sentence that everyone acknowledged as the fate of his mates. She was the third in line to be devoured by his cursed beast, as his curse dictated. Yet, when no one anticipated it, the unimaginable occurred.
