Broken Ribbons, Diamond Wings Reclaiming My Crown

For four years Summer has been trapped in an oceanfront villa, her body broken and her ballet career destroyed by the man she once loved. When an old iPad chimes with a Cloud Note from ten years ago, she finds a diary entry written by her eighteen-year-old self, asking whether giving up a place at the Paris Opera Ballet Academy for Julian was worth it. She types a warning back: run, before he breaks your legs.

The reply comes instantly, impossible and real, from the girl she used to be. But Julian arrives with Chloe, his twenty-year-old intern, and the cruelty escalates. He grinds his shoe into Summer's ruined foot, threatens to burn her diamond-encrusted pointe shoes, and demands she kowtow to his mistress for forgiveness.

As her younger self questions who is writing to her, Summer must decide how much of her shattered pride she is willing to surrender.
