He Abandoned His Mafia Wife, Then Begged Her to Return

“I’ve agreed to marry that unconscious Mafia heir, Dante De Luca, to replace your dear illegitimate daughter,” I told my father. “I knew Vina couldn’t bear the thought of becoming the wife of a cursed man. So I’m offering myself as a substitute.”

He exhaled sharply, his shoulders slowly relaxing. Then he nodded.

I knew he would agree. He always gave Vina everything.

My mother died of heartbreak after discovering my father had a secret family. Since then, I’ve hated him. Hated them, especially Vina, who had stolen everything from me.

Perhaps that was why I grew to love Alexander, my father’s most trusted enforcer… because he was all I had. All I believed in.

Until recently.

Alexander was supposed to be my protector. But when the rival Mafia attacked, he didn’t hesitate. He ran to her, to Vina. He left me bleeding on the ground when he was supposed to protect me, my body broken, my heart shattered. And he never looked back.

I also knew he hid his true identity as a powerful Mafia heir. He pretended to be an ordinary enforcer, all to get closer to Vina.

So I made my choice. If love meant being second best, then I chose the silence of a poisoned Mafia heir over the noise of a love that was never mine.

I didn’t say goodbye. By the time Alexander came looking for me…

I was already gone.
