He Burned My World For His First Love

Georgina once stood at the top of her class, but when her grad school plans collapse and her health unravels, her boyfriend Julian tells her to simply stay busy. He hands the job she fought for to his first love, Emily, insisting they both owe her. As Georgina's moods swing wildly, only her paintbrushes keep her tethered to life.

Then Julian admits he threw out her supplies and burned over a thousand paintings to make room for Emily's trophy. At a dinner celebrating Emily, a table of spicy dishes she cannot touch and a faded dress on her back mark how far she has fallen, while Julian calls her weak and ungrateful.

When he finds her sleeping pills running low, his rage gives way to soup and apologies, then a promised trip. He leads her blindfolded to a rose valley, certain it will make her happy.
