He Left Us to Die While Chasing Another Woman

Luca’s last birthday wish was heartbreakingly simple—he wanted the three of us to sit down as a family. But Vittorio, my husband and the feared boss of the Morrano syndicate, had never cared for either me or our son. After days of pleading, he finally agreed to come, though his promise was cold and empty.

When the night arrived, Vittorio didn’t show. Instead, it became the night my child took his final breath, his last wish left to die with him.

I planned Luca’s funeral alone, holding myself together through a grief that nearly crushed me. Only later did I uncover the truth: while his son was dying, Vittorio was in the snowy mountains with my own sister, Valeria.

So I packed my things and walked away without looking back.

That was the moment he finally chased after me—begging, apologizing, and asking for mercy he no longer deserved.
