Reborn, I Chose a New Mate

Cheryl, Saintess of the Southern Wolf Clan, was raised among the Northern heirs so that the mate she chose would inherit the North and command the loyalty of her eighty thousand people. In her first life she chose Beacher, the man she had loved for years, and used the South's secret arts to help him take the Alpha's seat. He repaid her by ordering her limbs cut off, sealing her in a coffin, and slaughtering the entire South, blaming her for the death of Betsy, the woman he truly wanted.

Reborn on the day she must choose her mate, Cheryl resolves not to choose Beacher again. He kneels before the Alpha and demands to bond with her while keeping Betsy at his side, certain she will marry no one but him. The Alpha says only that a bonding ceremony will take place in seven days, and Beacher mistakes this for approval.

Cheryl lets him believe it. She walks past him and tells another man she will be waiting for him in seven days.
