The Alpha Bet I'd Never Leave Him—Until I Did

For three years, Leona has watched her mate Kieran, the Alpha, parade other women before her while offering her male Betas in exchange. Each time, she drove them out with cold pride, guarding the purity of their Mate Bond. But when Kieran announces that Vera is pregnant and he will dissolve the bond to give Vera a proper title, Leona does not rage. She smiles and agrees.

That night she signs the Petition for the Dissolution of the Mate Bond and keeps Wren, the Beta Kieran brought her, in the castle. Kieran's pack wagers on how long she will last; Kieran himself watches with a satisfied smile, certain she will never truly let go. But Leona has her own reasons for the silence she has kept since something drove them apart three years ago.

When Kieran proposes supper with the old Alpha, Leona sets the signed petition on the table and asks him to go to the Council of Elders first.
