The wife died during childbirth, and it turned out to be part of her husband's sinister plot.

Rose has always been Jack's devoted wife, but when she learns she will die on the operating table during the birth of her fourth child, her fate becomes clear. In a flash, she sees her future: Jack, the boy she loved and supported through his violent childhood, rises to become a CEO with her family's help, then turns their marriage into a nightmare. He drives her to madness, leaves her alone with endless chores and resentful children, and on the day she dies, he is with his secretary, already planning to send her to a psychiatric hospital and take over her family's company.

When a truck nearly hits her, Rose realizes the visions are real and that Jack's helpless act—his gambling-addict father, his bruises, his pride—is all a ploy to keep her money flowing. She stops playing along, humiliates him in front of their classmates, and begins to see through her best friend Eva, who always takes Jack's side. A glimpse of Eva's necklace reveals the two may already be together.

Now Rose must decide how to rewrite the future she has seen, before the people she trusted most destroy her.
