To Save Their Beloved, My Three Brothers Traded My Life Away

After another defeat in the war, the Alpha of the rival Northern wolf pack captures Sabrina, the woman her brothers love, and demands Jodie, the strongest fighter of the Frostmoon pack, be sent in exchange. Before Jodie can lead the guards to rescue Sabrina herself, her brother hands her a drugged drink. She wakes tied to a wooden bed, where her three brothers—Harvey, the pack leader, Victor, an executive councilor, and Edgar, commander of the guard—hold her down while Harvey shatters her legs with an iron rod. They are not sending her to rescue Sabrina; they are making sure she cannot run, so she can be traded for their beloved.

Jodie tells them they will regret this. Locked in her room as a cripple, she is carted to White Wolf Gorge, the border between the packs, and thrown into the snow before Caelan, the Northern Alpha whose warriors she once defeated. Her brothers guard Sabrina closely, and Sabrina's tears hide a victor's smile. As Jodie is dragged into Northern territory, she warns that the Frostmoon pack will one day run with blood because of their stupidity.
