When I Learned My Godfather Husband Meant to Peel Off My Face for His Mistress, I Made Sure They Didn't Get to Die Whole

Hedda is a gifted skin-grafter who helped her husband Woodrow rise to become Godfather, then hid her trade. Now Woodrow brings his mistress, Susanna, and orders Hedda to graft her own face onto the woman so Susanna can take her place as the Godfather's wife. Masked and robed, Hedda is unrecognized, and she agrees on one condition: both women must stay with her during the procedure.

Woodrow drugs Hedda's milk to deliver her to be skinned, but she drinks it willingly and feeds him doctored strawberry cakes that ruin his fertility, leaving their five-year-old son Kyle his only heir. As the drug numbs her, Susanna threatens her and Kyle, and Hedda resolves that once they reach the hidden chamber, Susanna will not die even if she begs to.
