Synopsis
On New Year's Eve, a man's pineapple juice is secretly swapped for alcohol, though he has already taken cephalosporin. Doctors fight to save his life, but his wife, Jennifer Robinson, shields the person responsible. She insists the matter end there and urges him to forgive, calling the culprit a fresh graduate who meant no harm.
He refuses to let it go. The man, Henry, has an ambiguous relationship with Jennifer, and her fierce protection of him cuts deep. When Henry arrives at the ward with a fruit basket, kneels, and begs forgiveness, Jennifer slaps her husband and warns him not to ruin Henry's future. The conflict between the couple escalates, and the man's feelings for his wife begin to fade.
He remembers how Jennifer once defended him just as fiercely, and how their marriage has changed since Henry joined her team. As Henry flees the ward claiming he will turn himself in, Jennifer rushes after him, leaving her husband alone with his exhaustion and doubt.
