Synopsis
Six months pregnant and worn down by morning sickness, Stephanie Reed is the only match when her sister Queenie needs an emergency blood transfusion. Her family forces her to donate; her husband Henry Palmer watches coldly, insisting Queenie has a bright future that must not be affected. Stephanie passes out, and when she wakes she books an abortion, even as the doctor warns it may leave Henry unable to have children.
Back at Henry's villa, he leaves her chicken soup and rushes off to care for Queenie, blaming Stephanie for the accident and for refusing to save her own sister. He slaps her, then later returns smelling of Queenie's scent, and Stephanie realizes his heart has long since wavered.
Stephanie remembers meeting Henry at a musical, where she danced and he played. Now she waits, certain he will soon learn what it feels like to have his heart shattered.
