I Saved Him with My Life, but He Protected the Real Culprit

Milia has used her own life eight times to force mafia godfather Lucano Moretti into marriage, and at last he settles down: no bars, no clubs, no women. His rivals laugh that a woman has him twisted around her finger, and his men say she has no class. Lucano defends her, and she believes him.

Then she comes home a day early and finds him with a young girl, Isabella. He shields the girl and offers Milia a choice: pretend she sees nothing, or he gives Isabella a name. Milia answers only, "Whatever." He moves Isabella to the east house, and a message reveals that three properties and two underground businesses were quietly transferred to Isabella three months ago. Milia calls Lawyer Karl: the divorce plan no longer needs to wait.

Isabella's pregnancy test arrives, and Lucano explains that Milia, who tried to die eight times, cannot be trusted with a child, while Isabella is healthy and gentle. He waits for her to nod.
