Synopsis
Five years into her marriage, Clara Sterling has watched Ethan Vance turn the home they designed together into a house of other women, and she has endured it all for the child she carries. Then he drags her onto the ski slopes as a human shield for Chloe Bennett. On the run, Chloe rams into her, and Clara loses the baby. In the hospital, Ethan does not ask about her injuries once; he only wants her to sign away any claim against Chloe, and when she asks for a divorce, he swears she will never leave.
His assistant Austin delivers the threat: serve Chloe, or her brother Leo's grave will not be left untouched. Clara goes instead to the cemetery, where Ethan finds her, tears the wig from her scarred head, and slams her against the tombstone. Chloe leans close and whispers that she rammed Clara on purpose, and that the baby deserved to die.
Something in Clara finally breaks, and she lunges at the girl.
