One Phone Call, and They All Regretted It

Rachel learns that her husband Luca is sleeping with her best friend Sarah, and that their friends have been betting on whether she will leave him. When she overhears them mocking her outside the club, she does not confront them. Instead, she calls Sarah's husband, Enzo Scala, a man who once did time for assault, and tells him Sarah is drunk and surrounded by men.

Sarah boasts openly about the affair, even claiming it began while Rachel was in the hospital after losing her first child. Luca warns Rachel to be good if she does not want a divorce, while Sarah insists Enzo is a brute she can easily fool. Rachel waits, humble and quiet, as Enzo races to the club.

Rachel has spent years letting Luca play the hero, hiding what she is truly capable of. Now she only wants to watch a mad dog bite.
