The General's Secret Wife

For six years, Nina Collins has kept her marriage to Major General Eason Pierce a secret, believing it was his way of shielding her and their daughter Lily from the dangers that stalk military families. Then a breathless voice message from her best friend Anna arrives, followed by a photograph of a man whose face Nina knows all too well. Anna has been with Eason for three years, and he is planning to marry her.

At their old diner, Anna hands Nina a wedding invitation, and Eason walks in. He greets her as a stranger, offering a hand and the name of Anna's fiancé, while Nina swallows the truth and calls herself only Anna's best friend. Later, at home, Eason gives her plane tickets and asks her to take Lily away until the wedding is over, offering promotions and shares as compensation.

Nina asks whether he ever thought of Lily and her. His answer tells her everything. She agrees to go, and the next morning she walks into the airport holding Lily's hand.
