Synopsis
Adrian is the biological son his parents, Ashton and Sarah, never truly wanted. Since they brought him home two years ago, they have doted instead on Ken, the adopted brother with whom he shares a birthday, while Adrian waited alone in the mansion for a promised cake that never came.
Now, at the equestrian center, Ken clings to a frenzied horse, and his parents fall to their knees, begging Adrian to save him. His fiancée, Cassy, and the gathered relatives call him cold-blooded. Adrian names his price: the Gosling Corporation shares, and Ken struck from the family registry. When the papers are signed, he reveals the cast on his leg, the one they broke, and admits he cannot save anyone.
Cassy snatches the agreement, rescues Ken herself, and Ashton's blow leaves blood at Adrian's mouth.
