Today is my Second Chance For Revenge

“I understand, Victoria,” Brendon’s voice broke through the night air. “You’re choosing Leandro over me… then it’s time for me to say goodbye. I wish you a happy marriage.”

I blinked. I remembered this scene—six years ago. Brendon Urie, my childhood best friend, had proposed to me, but I rejected him for Leandro. The man I thought would love me forever.

But no… this can’t be happening. The last thing I remembered was catching Leandro and my stepsister Abby cheating. I confronted them, hoping Leandro would deny it—but instead, he shot me. Killed me. And confessed he never loved me at all.

So why was I here again? Was this a dream? If not… then this was a second chance.

“Wait!” My voice cracked as I rushed forward. “Brendon, stop! Don’t go! I accept the marriage. But… I can’t just break off my engagement with Leandro. Our families, the agreement—it won’t be that easy. But can you wait five days?”

He nodded. So, I went back home to face Leandro.

“Where have you been?” he snapped, rising to his feet. “I’ve been trying to reach you. You’re not answering your phone. What about the gown fitting?”

I froze. The gown fitting. How could I forget? In my past life, I had missed it because I was bedridden, too weak to stand. And Abby was the one who fitted it—she was here now.

I felt it more keenly than ever.

I was truly reborn. And this time, I wasn’t going to let them destroy me.
