Future Me Says My Perfect Life Is a Lie

The night before the SAT, Felicity Fisher records a video call between her present self and her future self ten years from now — and the line actually connects. The future Felicity flies into a rage the moment David Barrett's name leaves her mouth, revealing that David gave her disappearing ink pens so Brielle Rowe could become the city's top scorer, that she never got into Crythoria University, and that David and Brielle became a couple at college.

When David hands her a stationery pouch the next day, Felicity tests the pens and watches the ink fade to nothing. She swaps them with the ones he prepared for himself and Brielle, and the truth of his betrayal settles in. At the class celebration dinner, a slip of the tongue exposes a night David and Brielle spent drinking together while Felicity lay feverish and alone, and a game of truth or dare makes David glance at Brielle when asked who he last kissed.

Every overlooked detail from the past now snaps into focus, and Felicity must decide what to do with the people she trusted most.
