Synopsis

Vivian has always stood at the edge of her own family. Because of childhood illness she started school a year late, and once she recovered, her parents' attention settled entirely on her twin sister, Rosie. No one noticed when she skipped a grade, and no one came to pick her up after her final exams. When Rosie finishes her own exams, the family celebrates at Bellamy's, and Vivian is told to stay away.

At home she finds a bowl of instant noodles left by Ethan, but crushed peanut is mixed through them, and Vivian's severe allergy flares. Her family refuses to believe her: Rosie accuses her of faking, Ethan says he regrets leaving the food, and her mother, father and Grant all block her. Alone and unable to pay, she takes Rosie's allowance to reach the hospital.

She returns at midnight to a key that will not turn, an angry family, and an accusation of theft waiting behind the door.
