The Alpha Begged me not to Choose Someone Else

The doctor looked me in the eye—hesitant, grieving—and said, “Luna Lily… it’s cancer.”

The world stopped. My heart didn’t break—it shattered. I was pregnant, sick, and alone in a pack that no longer felt like home.

And then I saw them. Alpha Hudson—my mate, my husband—and Abigail, the she-wolf he swore was just “someone from the past.”

Laughing. Whispering. Holding hands like they’d already built a future together.

“She’s still carrying your pup, Alpha,” Abigail purred, pretending to be concerned. “Won’t she be hurt if she sees us?”

Hudson didn’t even blink. “If she causes a scene, I’ll end the mateship. I don’t owe her anything.”

That was the moment I knew: I was nothing to him. He didn’t love me at all.

He lied, gaslit, and discarded me for his first love. He let her steal everything from me and gave it—along with my room, my doctors, and my home—to his mistress.

And Abigail? She didn’t just take what was mine—she laughed as she destroyed it.

So I made a choice. I called my father, Alpha of Rosebud Pack.

“Dad… I’m leaving River Valley Pack for good. I don’t want to be here anymore.”

I booked a flight that night.

Seven days. That’s all I gave myself before disappearing from Alpha Hudson’s life forever.

So why, on the day of my new mateship ceremony, did he come tearing into Heaven Valley—eyes red, voice shaking, begging me not to choose someone else?
