The Concert Kiss Camera Caught My Husband Flirting with My Sister

On my forty-fifth birthday, I treated myself to a concert ticket after my husband, Roger, brushed me off because he was too busy.

I thought this would be the best birthday ever but it all shattered when the kiss cam panned to the crowd. On them. Roger and Paula, my sister. They were laughing, leaning in, smiling as if they were the only two people in the world.

The crowd began to cheer for kiss. Roger and Paula turned toward the screen and froze. Their smiles faded. The arm dropped. They pulled apart abruptly, scrambling to put space between them, pretending nothing had happened. But it was too late.

The moment had been captured. They had betrayed me.

What’s worse is that when Roger learned I had saved money for my trip to my dream place, Finland, he stole it to fund a trip with my sister Paula and our son Mateo—without me.

That was the last straw.

I decided to file for divorce, packed my bags, and then left—but when they came back, I made sure they’d be on bended knees after hearing about my death.
